About Astrarium

Building the physical layer for autonomous machines

We're a small team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers designing the actuators and robots we always wished existed on the market.

Our story

Started in a garage. Focused on duty cycles.

Astrarium was founded in 2024 in Austin, Texas, after years of watching robotics teams fight with underpowered, poorly documented actuators. We started with one product: a rugged, sensor-rich rotary actuator that could survive a real industrial duty cycle. That actuator became X1 Gamma — and the core building block for our growing lineup of complete robots: the 8-legged A8 class, the quadruped Q4 class, and the humanoid H2 class.

Today, every product ships connected to the same cloud fleet dashboard, so the hardware you buy from us keeps getting better long after it leaves the loading dock.

How we work

Principles that guide every build

Reliability first

If it can't survive a full shift in the field, it doesn't ship. Every component is tested well past its rated duty cycle.

Open documentation

Full specs, wiring diagrams, and API docs are available before you buy — not locked behind a sales call.

Software that keeps up

The Fleet Dashboard ships alongside every unit, and improves through updates long after purchase.

Leadership

A small team, deliberately

Astrarium is led by a founding team with backgrounds in industrial actuation, legged robotics, and cloud infrastructure.

CE

Co-Founder & CEO

Sets product direction and leads partnerships.

HW

Co-Founder & Head of Hardware

Leads actuator and mechanical design.

SW

Head of Software

Builds the Fleet Dashboard and device firmware.
